Starting anew

I have neglected my blog for far too long, and now it has fully decomposed, to the point where it can no longer be updated. I was two major versions behind the current Ghost, and an attempt to update it has screwed up some SQL table. Not great!

Anyway, with the recent controversy around social media, I am once again interested in making this blog work. After all, the more normal people there are on the internet, the more normal it will be; and I consider myself a rather normal person. I don't know yet if/when I will be restoring my older posts. The design will also come at a later date.

In the recent months, I was able to slow down. I've spent a lot of time reading, watching movies, going through my older pictures, and even reducing my bug backlog at work. I've become better at letting things go. I appreciate more what I have. And I think I have things to share.

[Updated a couple of hours later:] Well, actually restoring my manual backup of the pictures and the json dump of all the posts seem to have worked. So the old content seems to be back in place. Cool!
